What is Talveron Voice Academy and who are the courses for?
We are a Canadian training studio focused on voiceover fundamentals, performance, and the business of VO. Our courses are designed for beginners and working talent looking to upgrade skills, demo quality, and workflow. Classes are delivered online across Canada in English (en-CA).
How much do courses cost in CAD?
Foundations (6 weeks) is 649 CAD, Performance Lab (8 weeks) is 899 CAD, and Business Intensive (4 weeks) is 489 CAD. Bundles receive a 10% multi-course discount. Taxes are calculated based on your province.
Do you offer installment plans?
Yes. You can split tuition into up to 3 monthly payments with no interest. The first payment reserves your seat. Receipts are issued in CAD.
What are the class schedules and time zones?
We run evening cohorts Monday–Thursday with start times between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM local time. Schedules are listed in your browser’s local time, with instruction anchored to Canada/Eastern.
Is the training remote or in-person?
All current cohorts are delivered live on Zoom with interactive direction, script reads, breakout rooms, and feedback. Optional studio days are offered in select Canadian cities throughout the year.
What equipment do I need to start?
To begin, we recommend a USB condenser mic, closed-back headphones, a pop filter, and a quiet space. We provide setup guides and treatment tips. An XLR chain is helpful but not required for Foundations.
Do you help with demos and coaching after classes?
Yes. We offer one-on-one coaching, directed demo sessions, and script curation. You receive constructive notes and a release-ready demo when you’re prepared—not rushed.
Are there prerequisites?
No prior VO experience is required for Foundations. For advanced labs, we recommend either our Foundations course or equivalent experience and a basic home recording setup.
Will I receive certificates?
You receive a completion certificate per course and a verified transcript for multi-course tracks. Many studios value the practical reels and live-read samples you’ll compile.
Can I rewatch classes?
Sessions are recorded and available to your cohort for 60 days for study and practice. You also get reusable warmups and script packs.
Do you support CF and US markets?
Yes. While our pricing and admin are in CAD, we coach for Canadian and US casting standards, including commercial, narration, corporate, and e-learning formats.
What is your refund policy?
Full refund within 7 days of purchase if the cohort hasn’t started. After the start date, pro-rated credits may apply. Missed classes receive recordings and makeup assignments.
